Their pass-and-move play was immense. I swore they had 13 or 14 outfield players - they always had three men to every AFC man. :shock:

They play beautiful football. Formations tend to be rigid, with a little bit of switching and covering... But they just seem to know where they should be - not geographically on the pitch as such, but more in relation to each other - and their opposition at any given time. It's not quite the great Dutch Total-Football - but it seems to be going that way...

They seem to roll and rotate into each others 'playing space' naturally... Amazing.

They still lost though! :lol:

That's what everyone was saying in the 2nd half. My uncle was certain that they had 5 more players than us on the field! :)

Somehow, they still lost. 8-)

But I don't think we will progress. I'll remain hopeful though. Although I expect us to go out, but will remain incredibly happy with our CL run this year, just because of Wednesday night! :D

It's just how UEFA roll.

It would be chaos if all English teams played foreign opposition on the same night in the same country. It's much safer to split the games up by arranging matches for different weeks.

I'm sure you heard that I got a match ticket in the end. I bought a ticket for 200 Euros about 90 minutes before kick-off. I was with a incredibly-nice Spanish family who took me in, and looked after me in their end. I also got them on Facebook - as you know, I think the daughter had a thing for me! ;)

Anyway, I thought the referee fucked us over. It was never a red, and he ended any hope of us getting anything, once he sent van persie off. It was so loud in there, I couldn't hear the whistle - depsite seeing the flag, but RVP certainly didn't see that go up!

QF draw;
Real Madrid vs. Tottenham
Chelsea vs. Manchester United
Barcelona vs. Shakhtar Donetsk
Inter Milan vs. Schalke

SF draw;
Inter Milan/Shalke vs. Chelsea/Manchester United
Real Madrid/Tottenham vs. Barcelona/Shakhtar Donetsk
An Absolutely fantastic draw, which will see Spurs go to the Bernabeu against the men of Mourinho. And from an Arsenal fan's point of view, to see Chelsea draw Man United is incredibly pleasing! 8-)

Even more pleasing when United smash Chesney twice... And duff you up as well! :D

We'll see. I stil don't think we will win the league, but this draw will certainly helps us - well, it should!

I work with a Spurs fan and he is blatantly mental. Was talking today about going on to beat Barcelona once they smash Real Madrid!

Maybe I should have checked if he was drunk...

To be honest, a lot of Spurs fans are like that. God knows what's wrong with them! :o

There's nothing silly about an Eduardo hat-trick! ;)
