That's weird as mine definitely had the original artwork on the box. I never realised how many expansions the game had or even that there's a Kick Off 2 World Cup in Dublin next month.

Also for the record I thought they were pretty harsh to Graham Gooch Cricket on Gamesmaster there.

Yeah, I had GG cricket, thought it was decent! As for a Kick Off 2 tournament, if definitely enter one if there was ever a local one to me. Only if they had zipsticks though. What a joystick!

We had a few of them joy sticks over the years. Only problem I found with those was they got pretty f@@ked if you played any games that required you to waggle the stick left and right.

If I lived anywhere near to Manchester then I'd definalety go along to that event. Sounds amazing. I'm going to look online for as much coverage as I can find.

The stick was so top heavy you could literally just hold the base and shake it to break every high score in Daley Thompson's Olympic Challenge :)

Noticed a few things on this subject recently thanks to the exhibition no doubt. The Guardian's Youtube Archive this week has a healthy chunk on Sensi. I had completely forgot about the EngvGerm demo too, including the black and white/early 90's tv effect. Would be nice to see that done in a football game, NBA 2K does it very well with dated overlays too. Would be brilliant to replay a whole world cup though.

That can't be a genuine sensi clip can it? I don't remember any other free kick style than the default one where you stood at the ball.

I had forgotten about demo too.

I remember I once had an upgrade disc that came with an Amiga magazine back in the day. I can't remember what it exactly improved but it was decent. Then I remember my older brother accidentally copying over the disc!

Keen to see what he is going to do with this. There has to be some new element/angle to draw people into this and keep them interested for more than 30mins. I loved this game back in the day but I remember it re-launched for the Xbox 360 Arcade and it didn't do anything for me.

And yes, we are more than due a new Monkey Island game :great: There was just something about this franchise that made it stand above the rest. The old Indiana Jones "point n click" games were very decent but had nothing on Monkey Island. And it would be good to play not having to swap about 13 discs, haha.
