What would they gain from a premium partnership with English (or even German) teams? Would it allow them exclusive rights to whatever stadiums? I understand licensing is very complex so... Also, can you do the same kinda deals with national teams?

Ive also decided to upgrade from a 360 to a PS4 just for this game so they best not disappoint :)

I'd assume that's the case for most deals of this type.

If I remember correctly, PES 2009 was the official game of the England national team.

Licensed kits and Wembley Stadium were part of the deal, however, I seem to recall England were also licensed in FIFA that year as well.

It's hard to say whether "everything" will come because new teams and stadiums are often added post-launch.

Based on recent years though, I've found final lists are usually posted (not by Konami) about a week before release day - all depending on when Konami send out early copies.

I'm making the same jump (let me know if you see any good offers) mainly based on the OF sharing.

2009 was the official Liverpool game that year and I don't think much came from that either.

Mike wrote: A premium partnership with an English club would be interesting to see - and it'd certainly explain why a certain North London side were mysteriously left out of the PES Day 2 demo, despite being included in PES Day 1, plus the fact they've featured heavily in official media since PES 2017 was announced.
Keep your eyes peeled on at The Emirates on Sunday for any PES 2017 ad boards etc. Remember Barca had PES 2017 stuff on display before the official announcement.

Wembley is a good shout above. Pretty sure that's in. Unless Barca brought their own sponsors. Hmmm, maybe.

Going off Adam Bhattis comments about more announcements with Premium partners and lesser partners do think they will look to strike deals with teams they had deals with previously?

I'm hopefully optimistic that Celtic will be in this years game (boosted by the exposure of Brendan Rodgers and Rangers being back in the top flight (hopefully they make it in too)) and if memory serves me correctly, PES 2014 had celtic featured in the trailer alongside Bayern? I think it's not the end of the world due to the Option File sharing but it's always nice to have the real. Also we're in Europe again this year.

I'll keep an eye out for any pes advertisements in any games from Scotland that I watch, but I like the idea of them gaining partnerships with different teams.

If I were to guess, I'd say licensing agreements have got much more aggressive since then, with both parties now going for much more when securing their deals, especially exclusive ones.

Good shout. Will also check the programme!

Personally though, I'm not going to expect to see anything. But, even with such a cynical mindset ( :-D ), you'd think there must a logical reason as to why Arsenal were left out of PES Day 2: partnership hasn't been signed yet, in-game Emirates hasn't been completed yet, etc.

I was doing some searching on google about what deals EA signed in the past. When FIFA 14 was announced in 2013, they signed a three year partnership with Barcelona. Three years later, PES has it so i guess it expired. At the same time, they also signed a new deal with Dortmund which has now expired.
Another club was signed up three years ago to a three year deal and there's been no news of it being renewed. That team is Liverpool! :D

Maybe that's where all them rumors came from a few weeks ago...

1. Henry
2. Bergkamp
3. Pires
4. Ljungberg
5. Vieira

"Soon after Gamescom" that's what AB has said on Twitter anyway.
