Airsoft

Post by GradeACallum » Fri Apr 20, 2012 1:31 pm

I just wondered if any OPE members were into Airsoft. Its a sport I have played for a few years now and thoroughly enjoy.

For those of you that haven't heard of it, its very similar to Paint Ball. However, you use full replica weapons (M4, G36c, Sniper Rifles) and shoot each other with 0.2 plastic BB's. You also get to dress up in full military kit. The games are very objective based and are far more complex than your usual capture the flag. So basically human Call of Duty.

Sounds bloody brilliant! Been paintballing a few times and enjoyed it but never heard of Airsoft.

My birthday has just passed though, so I might have to convince a mate to do it for his! ;)

It is good fun and alot cheaper than Paintball. Airsoft costs about £25-£30 each for a full day. Then its about £5-£7 for a full days ammo (5000 rounds). You will also have to pay £20 to hire a weapon if you don't have your own.
