I haven't brought in the DLC yet as I'm worried how it will impact upon Daymos' option file that I use. What, if any, fixes will I need to implement to make sure my OF still works properly....anyone? :P

If you don't want a messed up option file, it's probably best if you wait until V3 is released.

Any idea when PES 2013 will be announced? (wave)

I know it's going to come earlier this year, so in theory, that's probably going to be within a month (if we're lucky!)

I know you probably can't say, but I just can't help it! :great:

All I can tell you is that it's probably sooner than you think. Definitely not that long to wait now.

Depends what you mean by announce it. We all blatantly know there will be a PES2013, will there actually be any noteworthy news or will it just be a 'it's coming' sort of message?

Reports coming in from South America. PESFANVenezuela: "Talk about the UEFA Champions League this week - and maybe we will talk PES 2013."

PES 2013 news inbound? :great:

Check out this post from Adam on WENB!!
Guys, I'm going to be teasing bstard, but you'll be without me most of next week as I'm demoing our biggest Ubisoft titles at press and retail events until around Thursday. So I'll be off from this post until then.

So anyway, PES 2013 is shaping up really REALLY nicely. I'll be honest, I have this reserved approach to it all, because its very different to what it was supposed to be. I need to snap out of it, because I'm unintentionally underselling it, and perhaps making your expectations lower naturally.

Now some of you might welcome this approach, but overall it's kind of like refereeing against a player who jumps around a lot who goes down under a clear challenge for a penalty. Predetermined judgement can impact your quality of officiating. Hopefully you get what I'm trying to say.

So anyway, PES 2013 answers so much of what we wanted, plus that little bit extra. Keepers :) Shooting :) Passing :). Adjustments to a magnitude of different gameplay elements has created a fantastic experience, so much so I'm finding it hard not to start expecting a high quality football game. Think realistic player control, new attributes created to factor in defensive ability and ball control.

Hell even the animations. Now I'm not talking about FIFA levels of overall movement and presentation, but I am talking another bump up in quality from PES 2012. Think a silly variety of individuality in this respect, too.

And, along with this, some massive breakthroughs in correcting various issues within game modes that have hindered the potential. Yes, very cryptic, but right now I have to be.

With me being away, the podcast is up in the air for next week. Suff and Alan could potentially do something, but I'm thinking a week out, and then lets hit big the week after with hints and much more.

So have a good week, and we'll get talking as soon as I'm back.

Speak soon.
I hope the PES 2013 section is opened up soon... :great:

Sounds promising (although obviously we're told this every year). I wonder what he means by "it's very different to what it was supposed to be"? A very odd comment, especially for a football game, how could you end up with something very different from what you were trying for? Hmmm...

Thanks for posting this Pete.

He always tends to build it up every year, despite being disappointed every year (since 2008 anyway :P ).

Maybe onlyproevo can give his input soon... ;)

I think I'm still a few months off (at least) until I play the game, but the first bits of news should hit soon - sooner than you'd probably think actually. ;)

I'll hint/reveal when I can.

I hope it's sooner. Maybe this week? ;)

Nah, I don't think so. But yeah, sooner is better!

By very different to what it's supposed to be...I think he means there was going to be a new engine for it and now there's not. But maybe it will be a more refined game based on the current engine rather than a brand new shiny game.
