Is there a way to work out how many points you'll get when applying a trainer to a player? Seems random for if you'll get bonus points or not. Also, have no idea if I convert a black ball player like Willian, how many points it will improve say Hazard, so don't know if it's worth doing until it's too late?

Not sure about specific predictions, but there are some rules to it. Trainers of the same position as the trainee player generate more points for them. It's the same, I believe, with player style (fox in the box, target man, offensive full-back, etc)tigerwalms wrote: ↑3 months agoIs there a way to work out how many points you'll get when applying a trainer to a player? This is how it works I believe. There isn't any way to figure out the amount of bonus a trainer will get you but the closer the trainer is in position and style to the trainee, the more points they will get. Personally I wouldn't ever turn willian into a trainer for hazard, you are better off grabbing the special trainers or turning your lesser players into trainers and building him up if he is at level 1. The increases from level 1 are huge, a 4000 point special trainer can up the level ridiculously quickly.
Personally whenever I do spins with agents I use those who will never find a game in my team to up the levels of my main players. Or just keep them in reserve until I have a level 1 player who I want to level up in the same position. Unless you really can't see a use for a gold or black ball player I would rarely if ever convert them. Just don't think it is worth the loss.

Very much enjoying my club this year, first team squad is really taking shape, I just need a top tier keeper and I will be very happy! Maybe a replacement for gundogan on the bench as well but he will do for the time being!

Great team, @ukexplicit1984!
How's Beckham playing for you so far? Corners and free-kicks must be pretty fun!

Love him for the dead ball situations but at times he is a bit of a liability in the middle of the park as his dribbling and speed let him down a lot. But when I can work him a bit of space he is a demon in there! But I have scored some beautiful curling free kicks with him, anywhere within 30 meters is almost as good as a penalty it seems!Mike wrote: ↑3 months agoHow's Beckham playing for you so far? Speaking to free kicks - scored directly from one the other day for the first time since PES 2016! I love the new view, I could tell it was going in as soon as it beat the wall. Like Liam Lawrence in his pomp.

I did score my first free kick the other day and then hit the bar in the game directly after. I've scored a few in previous years, but always hit straight and never curled in. Was never as satisfying or realistic.

Patiently waiting for Data Pack 3...
How's everyone doing? I hope you're all well and have a superb 2018.
Sincere apologies for being so quiet lately btw - I hope to explain everything as soon as possible.

All is good here, took a break from MyClub to focus on the Master League with the missus, coupled with getting my gaming pc repaired and Fallout 4 its been a busy few weeks of gaming! Same as you Mike, just waiting for Data Pack 3 and for something to break in game! We have had it too easy this year so far with Data Packs that this one must surely screw everything up

Glad all is well with you, @ukexplicit1984.
I'm looking forward to starting ML, but won't do that until I've got DP3 installed. Updated transfers being the obvious absentee right now, but I'm also hoping to see loads of new player faces added - another new stadium would be great too although I'm not getting my hopes up.
Clearly, it's a game mode that needs a lot of work, but I genuinely enjoyed ML last year so I'm confident the same will repeat itself for this year's edition.

It hasn't changed much at all from last year. It's not a bad game mode, but for me - they really need to stop retired players regenerating into the youth team! I can't get more than a few seasons in without the experience being totally ruined by it.Mike wrote: ↑2 months agoI'm looking forward to starting ML, but won't do that until I've got DP3 installed. That and the lack of injuries are the main things I'd like to see addressed.

Speaking of which, I saw this on Reddit today:
Such a simple feature but so, so good - in my opinion anyway...

Ah, PES 5. Probably my favourite PES to date for overall enjoyment and the amount of times I played it. There wasn't much in it between PES5 and 6 for me. But I always favour 5 because that was a good year when my mates and I just happened to be all together. We'd spend full days playing it. 1v1s or doubles or full blown tournaments. Great days, great memories, great game!
I switched the PS2 on fired this up a few months ago. It's stark to see how much detail we've lost over the years. I just don't know why we can't have all these little details back?.?.?.?
