Not touched online for months... Too buggy for me. Plus, there's two kinds of people that play online:

The ones that want to have a good contest, and the ones that NEED to win. I always get teh second - so face cheats etc... Sticking to ML... Unless i wanna go online, then i crack out Battlefield. ;)

I would offer you a game, but I went to play a Competition the other day, and I realised that my NAT type has (again!) gone back to Strict.

And for a game mode that frustrates me SO much at times, I'll probably leave it - as it's just so much effort to change it back to Open.

Online play on the PS3 has been a poor experience for me tbh. The menus and invite system are rubbish and feel way too slow to navigate. I play with a buddy of mine, when its just us 1 v 1 we have some decent games, but playing against others has been a nightmare, especially in MLO. Far too many quitters, pulled back a 3-1 deficit to 3-3 and the guy quit as soon as the game re-started.....

I don't mind the quitters in online PES, to be honest. It's easier getting the points and the money (MLO). When people quit against me, I just laugh.

I consider it a compliment when someone quits on me. ;)

I find that the button responsiveness and the cursor change is horrendous online..

Has put me off this year having any sort of attempt at MLO.

If fixed, id love to have a right good go

Yup 'the cursor change' is definitely annoying. you can lose matches from that error

For me, it's just something I've learnt to deal with. Everyone suffers from it, and hopefully, everyone suffers from it equally. ;)

Cursor change = online PES equivalent of real life refereeing decisions... ;)

Just a quick question really? I played twice online for the first time this week.

In both matches, I picked Wolves and both opponents picked Real Madrid. Needless to say, I got a thrashing both times as my defence just couldn't get near the Madrid Strikers.

Does everyone who play online pick Madrid or Barcelona as a rule or have I just been caught out?

Cheers

Only 10% of people play to enjoy themselves - 90% play to win, at any costs. So - that means that opposing teams are almost always Barca or Real.

Very rarely have I played an oppo who is happy to have a lower stature contest. So, your choice is: stick to your guns and get pummelled - but enjoy the odd overpowering sens of accomplishment when you do win one. Or, give in and use a better team to cpete - meaning you win more often, but don't deserve it as much.

If only there were more people who chose the former over the latter...

90% of the time i play with arsenal and at times i tend to go with Liverpool. Ply for fun mostly :D, pass and move is my game :P (Arsenal style but with a solid defense ;))

I have a rating at 600, and I don't play with "overpowered" teams. I went on a 9 winning streak only using Marseille, Boca Juniors and Besiktas 8-) All my opponents were Barca or Madrid though. I think playing with less good teams like Marseille or Boca is more fun, because of like Graham said, you get a much better feeling when you win. The only downside is when they give the ball to Ronaldo or Messi, and just walks through my defense (even though, it doesn't happen alot).

But really, it's a shame that everyone just play to win, it ruins online for alot of people...

That's why I like MLO. Beating cheaters/honest players with class teams, with my very poor side is just awesome!

There's nothing like scoring goals with Chamakh, Bendtner and Gibbs. ;)
