News, Rumours & Speculation - Discussion

Post by Mike »

Although we still have a long wait until the release of PES 2012, there will be things circulating round the community very soon regarding the next PES title.

Please use this thread to discuss any news and/or rumours regarding PES 2012. Also, please try to include a source when posting up information. ;)

One thing we now know that will probably be one of the focal points in PES 2012 is Seemless experience, can't wait to hear some official news on this and how they're going to implement it (if they do that is ^^)

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what official news comes out regarding the "seamless experience". Still, we gotta wait a little longer before any news hits, sadly.

Things have already started... ;) No doubt we'll be allowed to announce bits over the coming months.

Well I saw one guy complaining about the DLC to Jon and said "Why should I buy PES 2012 next year?" & He replied "Because the gameplay will be great."

Happy about this because I think the gameplay is a bit too flimsy this year, it's too light.. & although some animations look amazing others just don't look realistic at all like how the players sorta swipe past the ball and it goes really fast.. I can'y explain it properly haha

Adam wrote:PES 2012, from what I know and hear and am told, is sounding like the most hardcore orientated football game I've ever known. Last year Jon Murphy said to me PES needs to look after the core fans, not so much going after the huge sales and acceptance from millions, but cater for the select crowd that play PES like a religion. PES 2012 is a true imagining of this statement.

More from the main man :)
Adam wrote:The more I hear about PES 2012, the more it seems it's not going to be that pick up and play experience, and it's not going to be something you can play alongside another football game. PES 2011 required patience, time, and the commitment to master. PES 2012's commitment levels sound insane in comparison.

This one is for the fans, the ones who look to PES for the football fix. I can't see this being a game Konami are looking to expand their market, any new customers would simply be a bonus.
Adam wrote:For e.g., I'm sure it's no surprise to many that the next PES will have some key FIFA features incorporated into gameplay. But it's not a copy and paste job, it's Seabass doing his thing of taking an idea (and thanks to the extra time and investment) and adding a multitude of layers to it.

Expect a lot of that once the game is announced.

The latest rumour is suggesting that the Copa Sudamericana will be licensed in PES 2012; http://www.onlyproevolutions.com/2011/0 ... icana.html

I'm not looking into it too much at the moment, because this particular article doesn't have a source. But it would be quite cool to see the "South American Europa League" licensed.

What do you guys think?
